Louis Bruno has been on a hot streak lately. The twenty-six-year-old President of Bruno Air Conditioning helped his company reach $12.5 million in revenue in just two years of business. What gives? He runs his company with a liberating, yet watchful eye. He hires the best and brightest, while letting them run free. “The majority of the people I hire know more than me about the area they are working in,” Bruno said. He is not afraid to hire. The company, now sitting at 150 employees, has become a staple in Florida.

Where does it go from here? “The opportunities are limitless,” he says. With the airing of his show, American Made on CNBC, the company may look for expansion opportunities far beyond the garage where he started the business in December of 2012. Louis was recently named chairman of the Collier County March for Babies, a program for the March of Dimes.

Just last week, the March of Dimes announced that over $448,900 was raised for the Coast Division March for Babies Events which were held on April 18th at Laishley Park in Punta Gorda, April 25th at Centennial Park in Fort Myers, and North Collier Regional Park in Naples. That is over $109,000 year over year and 132% growth. Louis hopes to expand those contributions even further. On top of that, he has been working on his first authored book, which will highlight the business, the pillars of success, and the psychology behind crucial hires.

Not bad for a high school graduate with childhood dreams of major league baseball. Sounds like a home run to me. -CMI
