HVAC Repair: My Air Conditioner is Leaking Water.
Saving you time and money.
The most common problem with your air conditioning system in Naples, Fort Myers, or Bonita Springs will be water coming out of your air conditioner. Your HVAC system needs at least annual clean and checks or maintenance to prevent your drain clogging or to determine why your ac unit is leaking water or has condensation on the air conditioner.
This happens because your AC system is most likely on a gravity flowing drainline and as water sits it turns into mildew and algae, causing blockages and backups. Though common, water can cause expensive repairs so a little homeowner maintenance can go a long way.
Three Simple Steps to DIY AC Repair
Grab your shop vacuum and locate your condensate drain.
Once you locate the drain, plug in the shop vac or extension cord and let run for at least ten (10) minutes.
Test run your AC system for 10 minutes and make sure it starts draining again. Button up and perform again next month!
We recommend at least monthly performing homeowner maintenance with a shop vac. Simply purchase a shop vac from the local big box hardware store and locate your drain-line outside.
